I just sold one of these in my garage sale this summer — my first Betamax. They were truly awesome machines. Weighed at least 30 lbs, made out of metal. Remember what metal was? I got $50 for it from a collector… it needed new belts.
In the early days of video rental we would rent the machines with the movies. Can you imagine lugging this mother up 3 flights! And back the next day!
